Email recipient receives windat attachments

Issue:
Recipients are receiving email with attachments as windat files.

Resolution:

  • Ensure the email is being sent as HTML, not 'rich text'
  • Clear out the auto-complete entry for the recipient on the sender's email client and manually re-enter.

To remove a name or email address from Outlook's autocomplete list:

  1. Create a new email message in Outlook.
  2. Start typing the name or address you want to remove.
  3. Use the down arrow key to highlight the undesired entry.
  4. Press Del.
