Microsoft Office: Modifying Update Schedule

Switching to Monthly Enterprise Channel should continue to work reliably, as it receives updates that have already been validated and tested more thoroughly, less prone to encounter bugs compared to Current Channel.


For long term resolution FactSet recommends clients to use Microsoft 365 Semi Annual Channel as this receives stable releases.


Download and run one of the following .reg files (as an admin), which will display a "Update Channel" button under File > Account, which will allow the user to select from any of the available O365 Update Channels:


After selecting a new O365 Update Channel, the user will need to click "OK" and then select Update Options > Update Now to download and install the new update channel version.
