LucidLink: Invalid Key Element Type

The issue is typically caused by an ungraceful shutdown of the LucidLink application while it's trying to write blocks to the cache (e.g., a system crash or powering down the machine).


  1. Exit Lucid completely
  2. Navigate to your User home folder in macOS Finder (for example /Users/dave)
  3. View Hidden Files & Folders (Command + Shift + Dot)
  4. Within the hidden .lucid folder, rename the folder instance_501 to instance_501old
  5. Open Lucid and reconnect to the Filespace
  6. Delete the instance_501old folder
