Windows: KB5034439 fails to install
Appears to be an issue with Microsoft. Ongoing for several months
NOTE: Extending EFI partition to 1 GB did not resolve. Nor did clearing Software Distribution folder
Resolution (not ideal) - Add registry key to bypass update:
After 4x Patch Tuesday's of frustration, today I have had the following response from MS Premier Support regarding KB5034439 and W2K22 VMs without a WinRE partition:
**Answer:**Microsoft will not release a fix for this issue.
In our case, we don't have WinRE partition, we can try below workaround to avoid getting KB5034439.
