DNS Filter: Locate Roaming Client with Custom Name

Without the client name, matching to a device in the dashboard becomes slightly more difficult. I recommend running the following device lookup:

nslookup -type=txt debug.dnsfilter.com 103.247.36.36 and you will be returned information about this device, you should see the following included with the Clien_ID:

debug.dnsfilter.com text =
"client_id=xxxxx-xxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxx"

This client_ID can be matched with a device within your dashboard. The simplest way to match this would be to contact our support team otherwise this can be a manual process.
