CloseIT: Updates

Workstation Installation Instructions(You must be logged in with local admin rights for this operation.)

Close IT Plus

Turn User Account Control setting down to Never Notify and restart the workstation Control (See below for instructions).

Install/run the FoxPro odbc driver. x:\Remmis\Setup\vfpodbc.msi (where x is the fileserver share)

Run the Close IT Plus setup file. x:\Remmis\Setup\Setup.exe (where x is the fileserver share)

Set the Security for “Users” on c:\Program Files (x86)\Close IT Plus FOLDER to Allow Full Control (See below for instructions).

Open Close IT Plus via the desktop shortcut and select the fileserver share drive.

Digital RE - (You can skip 1 and 2 if you have already preformed these steps from above)

Turn User Account Control setting down to Never Notify and restart the workstation.

Install/run the FoxPro odbc driver. x:\DigitalRE\Setup\vfpodbc.msi (where x is the fileserver share)

Run the Digital RE setup file. x:\DigitalRE\Setup\SetupRE.exe (where x is the fileserver share)

Set the Security for “Users” on c:\Program Files (x86)\DigitalRE FOLDER to Allow Full.

Open Digital RE via the desktop shortcut and select the fileserver share drive.

Additional Instructions

If you get an Error Activating when you try opening either program you will need to do a manual update of the program executable by doing the following:  (x = fileserver drive)

Close IT Plus
Copy x:\Remmis\Setup\Utilities\RemmisPlus.exe and Paste it into the c:\Program Files(x86)\Close IT Plus folder. Click REPLACE when prompted.

Digital RE
Copy x:\DigitalRE\Setup\Utilities\ DigitalRE.exe and Paste it into the c:\Program Files(x86)\DigitalRE  folder. Click REPLACE when prompted.

To set the User Account Control do the following:
Open the Control Panel and select User Accounts. Click Change User Account Control Settings. Slide the bar on left-hand side down to Never Notify and click OK. RESTART COMPUTER.

To set the Security Level of a folder do the following:

Right click on the c:\Program Files(x86)\Close IT Plus (or DigitalRE) and Left click Properties. Click the Security Tab. Click the edit button. Select the User account. Click the Allow Full Control check box, click OK and OK again.
