• 2012/2016/2019/2022 - Should not need DSRM as long as you don't get 2e2 error - even if there are multiple DCs
• Boot VM without NIC
• Use Recovery Environment ISO if needed
• Shut down; save snapshot

• Assign static IP info

If you do NOT have the DSRM password:

• If the system boots to windows you would not need the DSRM password.
• But if the restore ends with a BSOD then in order to fix the BSOD we have to perform some steps for which we would need the DSRM password - you're F*d..
