Acrobat: Generating Junk Characters

Issue:

Acrobat creates junk characters/font when generating or printing a PDF.

Try the following steps:

1. Click on Print.
2. Select Adobe PDF as Printer.
3. Click on Properties/Preferences.
4. Uncheck the box next to Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts.
5. Select OK.
6. Save the PDF.
7. Try Printing the PDF again.
