WYNTK: Syncovery

Options:

  • Automatically resume (copy with temporary filenames, keep incomplete files when stopped)
This will use temporary filenames so the files cannot be mistaken for valid copies if the job is interrupted.

A complete content or bitwise comparison should not be made every time, as it is too expensive in terms of bandwidth use (LucidLink). However if you really want to perform a verification, you can use our Syncovery Remote Service to generate checksums directly on the off-site machine. Verification can be done after copying each file, or even for all files that have been previously copied. Syncovery can remember the verification status for each file, so that it won't compare it again every day.

You can trust the protocols (https etc.) to use strong checksums and exclude the possibility of file corruption.

A UNC path is usually better, because when you start using the scheduler as a service, mapped drive letters are not normally available to services.
